Server Staff Positions

There is multiple staff positions within the Server Team, each with its own set of responsibilities. Below is a list of the Server Team positions and their respective duties. For a quick access to each of them:



Server Team Head @Head Moderator 🔰

The person in charge of the Server Team, overseeing all actions, moderations, and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee completion of server tasks and document updates.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Admins and HR regarding the Server Team.
  • Ensure fairness in moderation actions within the server.
  • Plan server team meetings.
  • Make staff announcements.
  • Train Moderators.

The Head Moderator ensures the server runs smoothly and that the moderation team is effective. Currently, this position is occupied by @Solii and @cdkinetic.


Server Committee @Server Committee

The Server Committee is a group of staff members that assist the Head Moderator in managing the server.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in updating all server-side documentation.
  • Assist in handling problematic situations with members.
  • Support other Moderators.
  • Develop new changes for the server.

Moderators @Moderator

Moderators are fully trained staff members responsible for all aspects of moderation.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle verification tickets, including reviews and closures.
  • Perform chat moderation with full authority, including de-escalation.
  • Manage server-side tickets such as Staff-Talk and member issues.
  • Gather and document evidence for moderation cases.
  • Participate in ban vote procedures.
  • Rotate as Mod on Call to log completed tickets weekly.
  • Assist and train Cutie Helpers as mentors.

Cutie Helpers (Trainee Moderators) @Cutie Helper

Cutie Helpers are entry-level staff who are learning moderation procedures and server policies. They support basic tasks and prepare for eventual promotion to Moderator.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle verification tickets under supervision (or independently once trained)
  • Perform chat moderation (simple rule reminders, small disruptions)
  • Participate in tickets as observers
  • Shadow Moderators to learn workflow

Cutie Helpers are often the first point of contact for new members through verification, making their role crucial for a welcoming community!

Server Chat Moderators

Server Chat Moderators are active community members who assist staff to report problems in the server chat channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Watch the server for any rule breakers and report incidents without needing to open tickets.
  • They do not have special roles displayed, so members are unaware of their status.
  • No application is required; the position is offered based on the server's needs, members activity level, and desire to assist in keeping the community safe.
  • Server chat moderators do not have any moderation powers

Being anonymous helps Chat Moderators observe the server chat without having any special roles displayed. (It's an invisible position)

The following channel changes have been implemented:

  • helper-chatverification-chat - Dedicated channel for discussing verification tickets only
  • moderators - Now opened up for Cutie Helpers as soon as they get onboarded for transparency and easier training. Use this channel for all questions, issues, and discussions not related to verification tickets.
